OKX, the global digital asset trading exchange boasting 20 million registered users across 100 countries, recently concluded its “TRADE LIKE A PRO” crypto trading competition held from September 20 to October 3, 2023. The competition, with prizes totalling 2,000,000 USDT (approximately 70,000,000 baht), attracted over 11,000 participants worldwide who successfully passed the qualification checks. The contest featured two categories: PNL Percentage in teams, where profits and losses were calculated collectively, and individual PNL, which determined the individual trader who amassed the most profit during the competition.
In the individual PNL category, Tantai Narongkoon, known as tantai.titanTH, a 27-year-old business mogul and crypto enthusiast from Thailand, emerged victorious. Tantai secured a profit of 338,340.28 USDT, equivalent to 12,535,497 baht, earning him a prize of 14,000 USDT (approximately 518,000 baht). This marked his third championship win on the OKX exchange, making him the only Thai trader to achieve this feat.
Tantai acknowledged the fierce competition in this event, describing it as one of the most challenging he had ever faced. Typically focusing on major cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, and BNB, he encountered difficulties in the early days when these coins remained relatively stable. As competitors surged ahead, he diversified into alternative coins, discovering the upward momentum of “Tellor (TRB).” Tantai capitalised on TRB’s short positions, yielding substantial profits. Despite initial setbacks and falling out of the top 10 rankings, he persevered.
To regain a competitive edge, Tantai shifted back to major cryptocurrencies, offsetting TRB-related losses. This strategy propelled him into the top 5 rankings by Day 12, where he vied for a top 3 position. On Day 13, with the market’s sudden 4-5% surge at 6:00 AM, Tantai overtook the competition to clinch first place at the last moment, securing his third individual trading championship on OKX. He emphasised the victory as a testament to the potential of Thai traders on the global stage, asserting, “Thais aren’t inferior to anyone in the world.”
Reflecting on his journey, Tantai shared, “I have immersed myself in the world of finance for years, honing my trading and cryptocurrency mining skills since the early days. I’ve translated crypto profits into successful businesses. My hope is that my story will inspire the younger generation interested in digital currencies to develop their trading skills and conquer the global market.”
